Microsoft Wise Pad W7 Review
A Word To The Wise
Microsoft introduces its latest tablet, the Microsoft Wise Pad W7 – a device that boasts of productivity ^m and flexibility. Although its price point is a lot more appealing towards customers, the Wise Pad W7 still has a lot to prove in terms of performance and daily usability.
DESIGNED FOR THE FUTURE
The design of the Wise Pad W7 is highly futuristic, catching my attention straight off the bat. With its slim form and curvy edges, the Wise Pad W7 is an instant eye candy. To make things a little functional in design, it also comes with a sleek pattern at its back to provide a secure and comfortable grip in your hands, ensuring you do not drop it in a moment’s notice.
OPENING WINDOWS
Way back when, tablets only meant that you’ll be buying an Apple iPad and using iOS as an operating system. Moving forward, we’ve seen proliferation of Android-based tablets in the market… and so ensued the fierce battle of market share between the two. As such, it is hardly surprising to see that Microsoft too is joining in the rat race to see who gets the biggest piece of pie in the segment.
The Wise Pad W7 is Microsoft’s, a tech giant with oodles of experience in delivering a user-friendly and accessible PC operating system, foray into offering a more affordable device to the mass market. It is not meant to compete with its flagship Microsoft Surface product line, but it is one that addresses a specific market’s needs.
MULTI-PURPOSE TAB
With the concept of working on-the-go becoming a norm these days, sometimes carrying a convertible 2-in-l notebook like the Surface isn’t necessarily convenient. The not too big nor small size of the Wise Pad W7 makes it suitable for most forms of multi-tasking – be it to use your tab as communication device or even as a portable PC.
If you’re already a Windows user, using the Wise Pad W7 will be a seamless transition for you since it is using the new Windows 10 operating system. Sporting the signature tiled menu, the tab has all the applications you could ever need in a mobile device.
Being a device that promotes both productivity and functionality, the Wise Pad W7 does more than just browse your social media and the Internet. If you’re a fan of e-books and e-magazines, I personally think that its size is perfect for the job. Its 7-inch screen is highly appealing to actually flip through the pages electronically – something I’ve been doing in my free time.
