Nokia 216 Review: Yesterday Once More

Nokia might have hit rock bottom as far as smartphones are concerned. However, it continues to deliver feature phones for the consumers and has launched yet another feature phone known as the Nokia 216 in India. Launched in September, the Nokia 216 is now on sale in the Indian market at a price.

Talking about the hardware specifications, the Nokia 216 sports a 2.4-inch QVGA (240×320 pixels) display and runs on Nokia Series 30+ Operating System. It has a BL-5C 1020 mAh battery which is expected to last up to 18 hours of talk time and 19 days of standby time (pretty much maintaining the reputation of legendary Nokia battery life). On the camera front, it features a VGA rear camera as well as a VGA front facing camera for selfies, both coming with LED flash which can also act as a built-in torchlight.

The feature phone can store up to 2000 contacts and the inbuilt storage can be extended up to 32 GB using a microSD card. The dual-SIM Nokia 216 ¡stopped with connectivity options like 900/1800 MHz, micro USB, 3.5mm AV connector, Bluetooth 3.0 with SLAM and HSP/ HFP profile. The device is meant for entertainment and to cater to the need, it is accompanied with apps like Opera Mobile Store, and the user can download one free Gameloft game every month for a year, and enjoy popular titles like GT Racing and Little Big City.

The Internet-enabled feature phone comes with the support of FM radio, MP3 player and video player and is Bluetooth enabled as well. The dimensions of the device are 118.0×50.02×13.51 mm and weighs 83.0g (including battery). The Nokia 216 is made up of polycarbonate and comes in black, grey and blue color options.
