Dell UP2516D

Broad Adobe RGB coverage that needn’t kill the hip pocket.

The DellUP2516D can be summarised as the solution for professionals requiring exquisite color reproduction without breaking the bank. While the 25-inch size may turn some people off as they have become accustomed to using large +27-inchers, the UP2516D certainly still has a place to be considered by pros looking at an upgrade.

Covering 99.5% of the Adobe RGB colour gamut, the UP2516D is bested only by its stable mate the UP3216Q and delivers exquisite color reproduction. The wide gamut coverage is paired with a maximum luminance uniformity delta of 12% and offers good black levels.

In terms of connectivity, it is well equipped, sporting two DisplayPort vl.2 links in both mini and full-sized proportions, as well as a DisplayPort output link for MST daisy chaining. Joining these are two HDMI v2.0 ports and four USB 3.0 downstream links, supported by two USB 3.0 uplinks ensuring plenty of bandwidth.

The OSD navigation is simple and actioned with ease via front-mounted, touch-sensitive controls with the OSD itself presented in the lower right corner in a visually non-intrusive manner.

Presenting a low CIE2000 maximum Delta-E of 1.14, there is essentially no perceivable color shift to the human eye.

Rounded out with a sturdy and fully featured stand in terms of pivot, swivel, tilt and height adjustment, the Dell UP2516D is ready to deliver impressive colors — however you may be positioned from the screen.

Exceptional color gamut coverage at a good price, albeit with reduced display size.
